I have an idea for my book, but haven't started writing yet. Is a coaching call a good idea?
Starting with a coaching call is a great idea. to help you brainstorm your idea and use me as a sounding board. I’ll help you test the edges of the idea and learn what steps you need to take.
If you are just starting to plan, I recommend a “Problems Solved” session. We can tackle your big-picture questions.
I'm working on a book proposal, which coaching call is right for me?
If you’re looking for publishing path guidance, or have general content questions, a “Problems Solved” call might be just what you need.

How long does each coaching session last?
For quick, free-form questions, we’ve got 45 awesome minutes.
For long-term coaching, we take 45-60 minutes.
Are coaching calls recorded?
Yes. I use Otter.ai to record audio and generate transcripts of our calls. You’ll get a copy afterwards.
What do I need to prepare in advance?
If you purchase a “Problems Solved” call, you just need to let me know what questions you have. You’ll be prompted to share these when you schedule your call.
If you purchase a “Forward Momentum” or “Strategic” call package, send me any pages for review 7 days ahead of our first call. If you have no pages yet, let me know and I’ll send you a Manuscript Foundations worksheet for you to work on in advance of our first call,
What post-call follow up do I get?
After every call, I’ll share with you an audio recording and transcript of the call, that also includes a summary and checklist of tasks to write forward.
Is there a time limit on scheduling the call?
Yes.
All 1-time calls must take place within 2 months.
All 6-call packages must take place within 6 months.
What happens if I have to reschedule?
You can reschedule the call once with 24-hours notice.
After that, if you cancel again, your session will be forfeit (no refunds).

- 1-time sessions must be used within 2 months of purchase. 6-call packages must be used within 6 months of purchase.
- If your 1-time call is not used within 2 months, no refunds will be given. If all 6-call package sessions are not used within 6 months, no refunds will be given.
- One cancellation or postponement is allowable, multiple is not! We respect each others’ time.
- These calls are for advice and consultation only. I can not guarantee these calls will lead to the publication of your book.
